Obituary from the Shreveport Times newspaper, June 10, 1959, Wednesday, p. 4:

Allie Garsee, 68, of Little Rock, Ark., a retired oil field rigger, died at 4:29 a.m. Tuesday in a Little Rock hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Garsee, a native of Mansfield, moved from Shreveport in 1941.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Rose-Neath Chapel, Father Bendernagle officiating.

Survivors include one son, Roy E. Garsee of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. H. Bickham of Shreveport; a brother, Hiley Garsee of Logansport; two sisters, Mrs. L. H. Beuins of Shreveport and Mrs. R. I. McDonald of Houston; and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
