Choctaw resident James Bolen Wear died Thursday at Midwest Regional Hospital. He was 82. Mr. Wear was born February 18, 1917 to James Garrett Wear and Myrtle Elizabeth Howard in Asher.

He was a retired electronic inspector who worked for the Department of the Navy with Lockheed Missile Space Agency. He also was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9265. He served in the U.S. Army as well.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Blanton Wear of Choctaw, daughter, Karen Howeth of Edmond, brothers, Foster Wear, Troy Wear and Virgil Wear and sister, Rachel Pasley.

Survivors include his daughters, Margaret Billins of McLoud, Jamie Rengar Kiro of Houston, Texas and Bobbie Jean Wylte of Malibu, California, brother, Jimmy Wear of Midwest City and sisters, Audrey Wear Gray of Harrah, Opal Nordmann of Merced, California and Ester Partain of Spiro.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Asa Smith Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow in Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
