Emma Rosetta Green, widow of James Green, a Hiawatha resident the last 4 years, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday following a brief illness. She was born May 15, 1879, at Readstown, Wis. She was a member of the Salem EUB church and the W.S.W.S. Surviving are 2 sons, Harlon Chaffee and Vernon O. Chaffee, both of Hiawatha; 2 daughters, Mamie P. Smith, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Marvin Buros, Viola, Wis., and 2 brothers, Isaac Silbaugh, Victory, Wis., and Lew Silbaugh, Albany, Wis.
The body was taken to the Turner chapel to the Sime funeral home at Readstown, where services will be held Friday.
