VIOLA "VI" DENKER SCHWEGLER.

VI was always the "bubbly" outgoing Aunt. Always seeking to help and keeping up old family friendships. A perfect match for Dewey the "pin-neat" and organized, ex Corps of Engineers river guy who could, and did, keep and fix anything automotive. Vi and Dewey lived for years in the carriage house of a wealthy Davenport family after he retired. In return, they looked after the place, and the cars, when the owners were gone. In the garage and shop nothing was out of place and you could "eat-off-the-floor" as nephew Fay recalls. Fun folks to have as part of the family. Dewey will also be well remembered by Tom Peters, son of Vi's sister Flossie, as a sort of "second Father" when his Dad traveled heavily with his company, McCarthy Improvement. He was a great Uncle to have.

Vi, and husband Dewey, are buried just north of the lake at Memorial Park, near her sister Flossie (Peters) and husband, Fred.
