Bernard Mulinex, 75, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on Oct. 19, 2010, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Everet Carl and Roxie Fordyce Mulinex.

Bernard retired from the former Ames Co. with approximately fifty years of service and served as president of the local union USWA #8350. He loved gardening and enjoyed the outdoors. He especially enjoyed running his beagle dogs, raising animals including, his dairy goats and chickens, and he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his daughter, Sue Parsons (Steve) of Elizabeth, W.Va.; two sons, Steve Mulinex (Debbie) and Jeffrey Mulinex (Ruth), both of Elizabeth; three sisters, Delores Mae Davis, Verna Jean Stump and Anita Yglesis (Larry); one brother, Ron Mulinex (Pat); seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Dianna Brand.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Ann Shears Mulinex in 1998; one son, Randy Mulinex; and one brother, Delbert Mulinex.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with Ron Mulinex officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mineral Wells. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
