Deborah was the daughter of Mary Carver and Gamaliel Bates. She was one of 15 children. Her siblings were: Lydia, Gamaliel, Mary P., Calvin, Hannah, James, John Blaney, Rebecca, Deborah (died at 6 months old), Reuben, Betsey, Rufus,Ezekiel and Abigail. She married Jacob Capron on February 5, 1809. They had 11 children: Abigail Washburn, Horatio Nelson, Jacob Stanely, Thaddeus Carver (died before he was two), Thaddeus Carver, Mary Phillips, Laura Jane, Cynthia Amanda, Harriet Elizabeth (died at 11 yrs. old), Elijah and Virgil Henry, my ancestor.
