ABBIE L. HODGDON
NORTHPORT - Abbie L. Hodgdon, 65, died Oct. 6 at a Belfast nursing home following a brief illness. She was born at Belfast, March 25, 1908, teh daughter of Harry and Alice (Brown) Emmons. She worked for many years at Whitcomb's Restaurant in Belfast and until her retirement in May as a pastry cook for Jud's Restaurant at Belfast. Survivors include her husband, Sidney M. Hodgdon, Northport; one son, Edward Hodgdon, Searsport; five daughters, Mrs. Joseph (johanna) Clark, Mrs. Clude (Shirley) Bailey, and MRs. Horace (June) Bailey, all of Northport; Mrs. Herbert (Hazel) Staples, Belfast, Mrs. Ralph (Orrie) Olson, California; 35 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Coombs Funeral Home, Belfast, Tuesday at 1 p.m., Rev. Jack Diamond, Northport Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Northport Cemetery. Friends may call at teh funeral home Monday afternoon and evening.
