Claude Marshall Quattlebaum, 74, widower of Sarah Hughes Quattlebaum, died April 8, 2011 at the Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.

Born August 18, 1936, in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late James Harmon Quattlebaum & Lola Rush Quattlebaum. He attended Greenwood schools, was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from concrete construction in Los Angeles, CA.

He was a master carpenter and had worked with the family Quattlebaum Construction Company in California. Mr. Quattlebaum has made his home back in Greenwood since 1992. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a son, Claude Marshall "Mark" Quattlebaum, Jr. and fiancé, Belinda Chandler of Greenville; a sister, Sara Quattlebaum Outzs and husband, Joseph Ray Outzs of Greenwood; five brothers, Glenn Quattlebaum, Charles Quattlebaum and partner, Steve Tabor, Frankie Quattlebaum, and Jerry Quattlebaum, all of Greenwood, & Michael and wife, Mary Frances Quattlebaum of Monument, CO, and two grandchildren, Claude Marshall Quattlebaum III & Merissa Quattlebaum.

Graveside services with Military Rites were conducted, April 11, 2008, at the Bethel United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers were Mike Tabor, Steve Tabor, Thomas Rush, Bill Dorn, John Witt, & Ray Witt.
