He was "Ed" to family & friends and served in Germany during World War II. He died on Wednesday, Sept. 27th at the Self Regional Medical Center. He had owned and operated the Quattlebaum Construction Co. in Santa Monica, CA, where he resided for more than 40 years before returning to Greenwood. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

His funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood; Revs. Ronald Chavis & Chris Lollis presiding.

Ed was preceded in death by his first wife, Audette (Beasley) Quattlebaum, and his parents, James Harmon & Lola (Rush) Quattlebaum.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian (Kelley) Quattlebaum; stepchildren, Linda K. Norman; Martha K. LeCroy, and Chuck Kelly; six step-grandsons; three step-great-grandsons; a sister, Sara Ouzts; six brothers, Marshall, Glenn, Charles, Frank, & Jerry Quattlebaum of Greenwood, and Mike Quattlebaum of Colorado Springs, CO; many nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers included Thomas Rush, Jim Ouzts, Ben Manley, Chad Quattlebaum, John & Ray Witt, & Steve Williamson.
