Following an operation in the East Side hospital at Cleveland Thursday, Dr. John A. Bolton, 53, a native of Hancock County, died early Friday morning at the hospital. He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon from the home in McComb. Rev. James M. Guyer, pastor of the College Church of God, will officiate.

The son of Samuel and Lucretia (Moffitt) Bolton, he was born Jan. 20, 1879, in Union Township. He was a graduate of McComb High School and of Western Reserve Medical University.

He was married to Miss Emma Nixon, of Piqua, who survives, together with the following brothers and sisters; William Bolton of Norwalk; Mrs. Milo Harris, Redlands, CA; Blaine Bolton of McComb, Cora and Elva Bolton of Cleveland, and Mrs. S.W. Boyer of Blanchard Township.

The Renshler funeral car will meet the body upon it's arrival in McComb Saturday morning and will remove it to the family residence.
