Mrs. Bolton died in her apartment at Cleveland, Sunday morning at 3:30 o'clock, after a three week illness, where she had been spending the winter with her daughters Cora and Elva. Her remains were brought to the family home Monday from Cleveland.
Mrs. Bolton was born February 1, 1864. Her parents were Charles and Elizabeth Moffitt, and they lived in Union Township. She married Samuel H. Bolton, November 15, 1866, who died in 1926.
Mrs. Bolton had been a resident of McComb for 39 years, having moved here in 1890. She was a devoted wife and mother and a king neighbor and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Many of her old friends called at the home to pay their last respects. Even the little children who had known her in life, called, saying they wanted to see "Grandma," and what greater tribute could have been paid her.
Children surviving are; Dr. John Bolton, William, Cora, and Elva, all of Cleveland: Mrs. Milo Harris, of Redlands California, Blaine Bolton, of Keoma, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Boyer of Blanchard Township. Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. A brother, Byron Moffitt, lives in Bolder, Colorado.
One son, Dr. Edward S. Bolton, died in Victorville, California, September last.
Mrs. Bolton had been a member of the Church of God since her early youth.
