GEORGE S. MIRES DEAD, AGED 75
For some months a patient in a local hospital as the result of an apoplectic stroke, George S. Mires died Friday night at the age of 75.
A native of California, Mr. Mires had resided for many years on his farm three miles east of Hanford. He was active in all community affairs and enjoyed the esteem of a large circle of friends. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah L. Mires, and by a nephew, Louis Mires, a resident of Modesto.
