Reuben Morris Brown was the Son of Jotham Jasper Brown and Nancy Elizabeth Southern. Reuben married Bertha Evelyn "Birdie" Newcomb, daughter of James Eliza Newcomb and Millie Cather Messer. They had seven children: Verna mae, Hazel Irene, Denver Lee, Gracie Marie, Victor Elwood, Ruby Jewell and Coy Finis.
