He had been a farmer until the 1950s. Afterwards he worked at a Shepherdsville saw mill from the 1960-late 1970s. He loved to fish and occasionally hunted for rabbit and squirrel. He adored his family and enjoyed singing and dancing just to be silly and kept his grandkids laughing.
