Rosary services for Mrs. Mathias Boesen were held July 20 at 8 p.m. from the Church of Seven Dolors in Millerville. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 21, at 10 a.m. from the Church of Seven Dolors. rev. Lawrence Botz officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were: roman Lamberts, Norbert Schmidt, Philip Schmidt, David Revering, Elmer Schmidt, Ralph Schmidt.
Mary Boesen, daughter of cornelius and Pauline Schmidt, was born in Millerville township on January 1st, 1889. She grew to womanhood in Millerville township and on April 15th, 1913 was united in marriage to Mathias Boesen. Her husband preceded her in death in December, 1956, after which time she has made her home with her son Bernard.
She passed away on Monday, July 18, 1960 at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 17 days. Surviving are six children: Leonard of Moorhead, Mrs. Martin Vigdahl of Paynesville, Joseph and Clement of Evansville, Bernard of Millerville and Mrs. Gordon Reger of Pilot Rock, Oregon. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren
