Helen Jesnowski was born in Leaf Montain Township, Ottertail County, on July 25, 1897, the daughter of Cornelius and Pauline Schmidt. She attended school and grew to womanhood in this community.
On October 13, 1925 she was united in marriage to Peter Jesnowski. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Jesnowski farmed near Brandon and later in Ida Township. They moved to Alexandria, Minnesota where they resided for a short time and moved to Ida Township, near Garfield, Minnesota. Mr. Jesnowski preceded her in death April 2, 1966. Mrs. Jesnowski has been a resident of the Crestview Nursing Home in Evansville, Minnesota for the past two years, where she passed away on June 17 at the age of 77 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Mrs. Edwin Kloehn) and one son Edward John of Atchison, Kansas; also surviving are ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Schmidt of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial on June 20, 1975 from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alexandria, Minn. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Alexandria, Minn. Pallbearers were James Jesnowski, Jerome Jesnowski, Joe Boesen, Clem Boesen, Bernie Boesen, Florian Lenarz.
