Wife of William Sinclair (1837-1919). Sarah and William were married on August 14, 1865 in Wayne County, Iowa. Sarah was the daughter of Corp. Newton Gant and Margaret Isabelle (Breese) Colyer. Before getting married, Sarah went by the maiden name of her mother, Margaret Breese. She also had a brother, William W. Breese, who died when he was sixteen, and a half-brother, James Colyer, who died when he was eight. Sarah was the mother of fifteen children including: John, Nancy Isabelle, Della, William, Alva, James, Jesse, Mary, Glen, Maggie, Annie, Marley, Grace, Gertrude and George Sinclair.
