DR. BOATNER'S FATHER, 86, DIES AT PARIS, MO.
H. G. [sic] Boatner, father of Dr. Howell Boatner of this city, died at his home in Paris, Mo., last Monday. The decedent was 86 years old. Death resulted from a fall several weeks ago in which his hip was broken. Mr. Boatner fought through the civil war with the "Washington artillery" of New Orleans. He moved to Paris, Mo. in 1875. His three sons, Dr. Howell Boatner of Springfield, Dr. D. N. Boatner of New York City and M. J. Boatner of Paris were with him at the time of his death.
