On December 27, 2010, James David Booth walked tall and straight into the arms of his savior, one day after his 90th birthday.

Born December 26, 1920 to Blonda (Foster) and Wade Booth, in Barbour County, West Virginia, James lived the better part of his life in the Akron area. A faithful member of Tallmadge Church of Christ on Southeast Avenue, he loved to hear his family sing the gospel songs.

Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, David Wade Booth; son, Lewis Ray; siblings, Reda, Dewey, and Leonard; James is survived by wife of 63 years, Betty (Thompson); son, Phillip D. Booth (Dale); daughters, Cheryl Edwards, Janet Booth (Brian) Tirbovich, Deborah (Carl) Tenney, and Paula (Michael) Brannon; grandchildren, Tami (Brad) Moran, Erin (John) Brand, Phillip and Kevin Lloyd, Ryan, Ashley and Daniel Brannon, Dawn (Brian) Hummel, James (Linda) Tenney, Kathryn (Ray) Adams, and Matthew (Jennifer) Tenney, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Clarence (Betty), Herbert (Audra), Hubert Fred (Vieva), Clayton (Irma), Kenneth (Judy), and Marvin; sisters, Anna Hendershot and Nina (Bobby) Fridley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
