Former Superior Woman Dies in Faribault, Minn.
Mrs. Julia Winget, 87, former Superior area resident, died Aug. 20, at her home in Faribault, Minn. following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Aug. 23 at St. Lawrence Catholic church in Faribault.

Mrs. Winget and her husband farmed south of Superior for 31 years, moving from Farlin, Iowa. She moved to Faribault in 1943.

Three daughters survive: Rose and Josephine Winget of Faribault and Mrs. Eleanor Thomas of Cleveland, Minn.

Burial was in Calvary [St. Patrick's] cemetery at Estherville. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, September 12, 1963)

Mrs. Julia Winget, daughter of Albert and Theresa Miller Ernst, was born Feb. 16, 1876 in Peoria county, Illinois and died Aug. 20, 1963 in Faribault, Minn. after a lingering illness.

On Nov. 20, 1894, she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Winget at Peoria, Ill. and the couple lived in that area until 1907 when they moved to Farlin, Iowa. They moved to a farm south of Superior in 1912 and resided there until 1943. The remaining 20 years of her life were spent in Fairbault.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose and Josephine Winget of Faribault and Mrs. Eleanor Thommes of Cleveland, Minn. Four children and her husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at St. Lawrence Catholic church in Faribault with Father Frederick Tschann officiating. Interment was in Calvary cemetery at Estherville where graveside services were held. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, September 19, 1963)
