John Laban Evinger, son of John Evinger and Jane Yager Evinger, lived his early life in IL. There he met and married Rebecca Beasley on 25 Oct 1859.
They remained in IL where the first six of their children were born. They moved to KS in 1872 where the last two children were born. Their children were George, Sarah, Nancy, Loley,who died at the age of two, Lilly, Rosa, Elmer and Alfred.
After the death of his wife Rebecca, John married Sarah Latta Marsters. They lived in AZ for a time, then moved to Hatfield AR. Soon after their arrival John died of a stroke.
