Anna, as she was called, was the daughter of John Evinger and Jane Yager Evinger. She spent her youth in IL and married James Wood there on 17 Jun 1873.

They moved to KS where their first four children were born. Then they came to the Cowlitz Valley in WA. Their last child Mary Inez was born there.

When her husband died, Anna lived with her daughter Inez in the Centralia area. Later, while living with her daughter Nora in Roseburg, she passed away. She is buried in the same cemetery as her husband James in Kalama WA
