Body of Mrs. Tanner May be Interred in State of Washington
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jennie Tanner, mother of Mrs. W.F. Cushman of the Willis Rooms, who passed away suddenly on Monday, have been held up pending word from Mrs. Clara Edwards of Tekoa, Washington, a sister of Mrs. Cushman. It is likely that the body will be shipped to Washington for interment.
Mrs. Tanner had been ill for the past two years, following a stroke of paralysis. She was taken violently ill on Monday with what her physician said was acute indigestion. She was given prompt medical aid but passed away suddenly half an hour later.
Mrs. Tanner was 68 years of age. She was born in Pennsylvania. She lived for 30 years in Washington where she had hosts of friends and resided in California only two years, spending all that time in Oxnard. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cushman, at the Willis rooms. While here she gained the friendship of many who will grieve her passing.
She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs Cushman of this city and Mrs. Edwards of Tekoa, Washington and a number of grandchildren, one of whom is Harry Mann, also of the Willis rooms.
