Mrs. Louise Brunson Simmons, 78, died early Monday at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and had lived in Statesboro most of her life, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Statesboro.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by one son, O. William Simmons, Jr. of Dunwoody; one sister, Mrs. Lannie F. Simmons of Statesboro; three grandchildren, Mark Simmons of Druid Hills, Miss Joy Simmons of Dunwoody, and Mrs. Beth Miller of Lawrenceville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Simmons will be today at 3 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Statesboro with Dr. Hugh Davis officiating. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery.
The Smith-Tillman Mortuary is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
