Statesboro – Mrs. Ouida Brunson Simmons, 91, died Sunday at Nichols Personal Care Home. A native of Bulloch County, she was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church where she was in the Ruby Lee-Sadie Lee Circle. She was a member of Merry Weeders Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha S. Coleman, Statesboro; one sister-in-law, Sara P. Brunson, Statesboro; three grandchildren, Suzan C. Laircey, Statesboro, Sally C. Besaw and Tyler S. Coleman, both of Charlotte, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Statesboro First United Methodist Church with Dr. Don Adams and the Rev. Carter Berkley officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery.
