Graveside services will be held Monday at the Sunset Gardens at 2 p.m. for Charlie M. Denny, 79, 4017 W. Texas St., who died at a local nursing home. Rev. Will Steinsick of the Hillcrest Methodist Church will be officiating.
Denny was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, and grew up in the area of Electra, Texas. He lived there until 1929 when he moved to Carlsbad. He was also a World War II veteran.
He is survived by two step-sons, Marvin and Leroy Albright; one step-daughter, May Buse; and one brother, Tom Denny, all of Carlsbad; and one sister, Louise Fulton, Amarillo, Texas.
