SERVICES PENDING
Mrs. Hurschel (Leona) Rich, 903 North Pate, died today at noon in a local hospital. Services are pending at Carpenter's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rich formerly worked at Ann's Shoppe here.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Tommy Martin of Carlsbad; a step-son, Hurschel Jr. of the Navy; a step-daughter, Beverly Rich of this city; her father, C.C. Denny; two brothers, C.M. and Tom Denny; one sister, Mrs. Robert Fulton; and three grandchildren, all of Carlsbad.

Services for Mrs. Leona Rich, 51, who died Tuesday in a local hospital, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Carpenter Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be the Rev. Judy Mead, associate minister of the First Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers will be J.D, Reynolds, Douglas Berry, Daniel Roberts, L.M. Varner, Kenny Leivo, and Cecil Reynolds.
Born in Ft. Worth, Tex., Mrs. Rich had lived in Carlsbad for 15 years. She resided at 903 North Pate Street and was employed as a sales lady by Anne's Shop.
Survivors include her husband, Hurschel Rich of Carlsbad; her father, C.C. Denny, Carlsbad; a son, Tommy Martin, Carlsbad; a step-son, Hurschel Rich Jr., now in the Navy; a step-daughter, Beverly Rich, Carlsbad; two brothers, C.M. Denny and Tom Denny, Carlsbad; a sister Mrs. Robert Fulton, Carlsbad; and three grandchildren.
Anne's Shoppe, where Mrs. Rich was employed, will be closed all day Thursday.
