LEWISTOWN - Arlene M. Porch, 62, of Lewistown, died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, in the Lewistown Hospital Emergency Room.
Born March 5, 1946, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Alonza L. Laird, of Mifflin, and the late Bernice M. (Kahley) Laird. She married Joseph W. Porch on Sept. 20, 1966, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Joseph W. Porch Jr., and his wife, Alana, Lewistown, Shawn M. Porch and his wife, Jennifer, Lewistown; grandchildren, Alexa, Justin, Hannah, Jakob and Felicia Porch; brothers and sisters, Donald L. Laird and his wife, Nola, Lewistown, Betty Huffman and her husband, Roy, Mifflin, Joyce Beers and her husband, Ronald, Lewistown, and Isabelle M. Snyder, Lewistown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Zelda Fidler.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Bible Church, where she was a teacher in the primary department of the Sunday school.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Fairview Bible Church, 5290 Granville Road, Lewistown, with the Rev. James R. Smith Jr., officiating. Private interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
