Mr. Arnold was born in York County on October 5, 1935, son of the late Wilford and Esther (Mitzel) Arnold.
He retired as a truck driver. Over the years he had worked for the former Pilot Freight for 28 years, Yellow Freight for 10 years and part time for Colony Paper for 3 years. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Memberships include, Shiloh American Legion Post 791, Starview Sportsman's Club and the Conewago Trail Riders Club. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed following Legion baseball and horseback riding.
In addition to his wife, survivors include, a son, Geoffrey L. Arnold and his wife, Melissa of York; two step daughters, Tracy L. Bell and her husband, Mark of Clovis, New Mexico, Tonya L. Thomassy and her husband, Scott of York; two grandchildren, Kathryn Arnold and Justin Arnold; seven step grandchildren, Brittany Hunter, Renae Matthews, Kelsey Matthews, Jacob Hawkins, Jenna Thomassy, Jessica Thomassy and Jonathan Thomassy; four sisters, Patricia Blevins, Fae Adams, Jean Manning, Susan Judy Hash; five brothers, David Arnold, James Arnold, Ray Arnold, Wilford "Bud" Arnold, Jess Arnold; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Final resting place will be in Paradise (Holtzschwamm) Union Cemetery, Thomasville.
