Mary Wargo, 91, formerly of 1305 E. Broadway, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hagi Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Bates will officiate. Burial will be in the Russian Orthodox Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 7 1895, in Streator, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Matsko) Buchina. She married Michael Wargo on June 30, 1956, Streator. He died in 1964.
Surviving are a stepson, John Wargo of Oakbrook; two stepdaughters, Lorraine Olivero of Peru and Donna Hothe of Washington, ILL; 14 step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was proceed in death by three brothers, John, Joseph and Michael Buchina and three brothers in infancy, Andrew, Stephen and George. A lifelong resident of Streator, she was formerly employed by Streator Decorating Company. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
