Mrs. Ole Olsen died at her home on the north side Tuesday night. She had suffered for about three years with consumption, and for three weeks had been very ill. She leaves a husband and four small children.

Matilde's father's last name in Denmark was Hansen, and his occupational name was Adam. In America the last name became Adams. Matilde was born in Stokkemarke, Lolland, Denmark as Matilde Hansen Adam.
Her Olson headstone must have been installed later as she, her husband and her children spelled their last name, in the Danish tradition, as Olsen.
