Her age was 91. Born in Lowell, Mass., Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ayer, members of a prominent north shore family.
Surviving are a son, Cornelius Ayer Wood, and a daughter, Countess F. M. Guardabossi, both of Prides Crossing; three sisters, Mrs. George S. Patton of Hamilton, Mass., widow of General Patton; Mrs. Keith Merrill of Prides Crossing, and Mrs Conrad P. Hathaway of South Lincoln, Mass., and two brothers, Charles F. and Frederick Ayer.
