John James Boyd, seventy two, died at his home in Neffsville, yesterday afternoon. He was a son of the late Henry F. and Agnes L. Boyd, Chanceford township, York county, and was a resident of Lancaster county for the past fifty one years. He also was a member of the Church of the Brethren, this city.
He is survived by his wife, who before marriage was Anna Mary Denlinger, and two children, Mrs. Amanda Lefever, Neffsville, and John J. Boyd, Milwaukee, Wis.; also one grandchild, Edith Irene Lefever, and two sisters, Mrs. R. C. Cowan, Atglen, and Mrs. John W. Dietrich, this city.
Private funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock followed by a public service at 2 o'clock in Mellinger's Mennonite church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
