Charles William (Jack) Phillips, 79, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, went to be with the Lord May 9, 2011.

He was born in Calhoun County Alabama on December 5, 1931, the son of the late J. L. and Iona Chasteen Phillips. He was the grandson of Charles Grant (Charlie) Phillips and Bertha Keenum Phillips of Jacksonville, Alabama. On December 4, 1948, Jack and Marion Evelyn Lively were married.

Jack retired in 1993 from Warren Woods Schools after 33 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Marion Evelyn (Lively); sister, Joyce Hillery; Sons and their spouses, Charlie (Michelle), Bobby, Perry (Jan), Danny and Mark; Daughters and their spouses, Debby (Ted), Carol (Larry), Judy (Wayne) and Donna; 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Steve and brother Bobby.

Visitation was held at Bagnasco-Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 . Fifteen Mile Road, (@ Schoenherr)Sterling Heights, on Tuesday, May 10, 4pm-9pm and Wednesday, May 11, 1pm-9pm. Services were on Thursday at 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial was immediately following at Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Clinton Township.
