Mrs. Catherine M. Hughes, widow of Sydney S. Hughes, died Monday evening at the Reeder Nursing Home, Boonsboro, at the age of 86. She had been ill for about eight months. Mrs. Hughes was born in Security, a daughter of the late Daniel and Margrette (Lickty) Wolf. she was a member of St. Paul's EUB Church, Hagerstown. Surviving are a son, Paul E. Hughes, Hagerstown Route 4; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Bailey and Mrs. Nellie Davis, both of Funkstown, and a brother William Wolf, of Leitersburg. The body was removed to the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro, where services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Lester M. Kauffman will officiate, assisted by Rev. Dr. F. Henry Plummer. Interment will be in Fahrney's Cemetery.
