Mrs. Nellie B. Davis, widow of Jefferson Davis, Funkstown, died at the Washington County Hospital Sunday morning after a brief illness, aged 76 years.

She was born in Funkstown, daughter of the late Daniel and Susan (Bowman) Wolfe. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown and of a Pocahontas Lodge, Hagerstown.

She is survived by one son, J. Edward Powell, Funkstown, two grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Rosa Bailey, Funkstown; also several nieces and nephews.

The body was removed to the Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro where services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. George S. Bowden officiating. Burial will be in the Funkstown Cemetery. Family will meet friends at the funeral home Monday evening.
