IN MEMORY of B.P. COX
On November 17 1928 just before the sun set behind the western hils, the Reaper of Death whose hand none can stay, entered and took from our midst "uncle Ballard" as he was lovingly called, not only by relatives, but by his neighbors and friends.

He had hardly passed the four-score mark, born September 1884. He was the son of Amos and Susan Cox. His three sisters: Mrs John Dalton, Mrs W.F. Farris, and and Mrs J.F. Cox, and one brother W. S. Cox, preceeded him to the Great Beyond. He leaves one brother T.S Cox of Ocala.

Funeral services were conducted by D.D. Nester and A.W. Wood, Sunday, November 18th. A number of his favorite songs were sung by members of Sunday School. one of which was; Heaven is not far away,"

He was a faithful member of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Chruch for 25 years being church Clerk and Sunday School Superintendant, until he became to feeble in body and mind to serve longer.
