Young Woman Who Died in Hospital in Anderson Friday Night
SUMMITVILLE, Indiana, February 21, 1920
The funeral of Mrs. Minnie Cranfill-Harrold, who died Friday night in St. John’s Hospital at Anderson will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the M.E. Church in Summitville.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cranfill, reside at Oxford O.
Mrs. Harrold, age 23, was the wife of Everett Harrold, a farmer east of Summitville. (Gaston, Indiana RR#2.)

Summitville, February 23 – The funeral of Mrs. Minnie Cranfill-Harrold, who died at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson of influenza-pneumonia on February 20, 1920 is in Anderson at 1 p.m. today at the M.E. Church here.
The cause of her death was Influenza 10 with pregnancy as a contributing factor.

Minnie was born in Fairmount, Indiana and was a housewife. She was 23 when she passed away. Her death certificate shows that she had two children, including the newborn daughter who was born February 15, 1920 at 12:30 a.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Indiana, and passed away 12 hours later* on February 16, 1920. No name was given to the baby. The cause of baby’s death was atelectasis.
(*Doesn’t add up to 12 hours – the death certificate very hard to read as to the correct time.)
