Marilyn Elizabeth Herren, age 78, of Mt Sterling, Illinois passed away at 6:10 am Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Culbertson

Born November 18, 1932 in Timewell, Illinois the daughter of Elmer & Nellie Hendricks Perry, Marilyn was united in marriage with Arthur "Junior" Klingler in Sept of 1949 in Nevada;
he preceded her in death on Nov 22, 1969

Marilyn later married Arthur Herren in July of 1971 in Timewell, he preceded her in death July, 1988

Marilyn attended Timewell schools and had worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide for Modern Manor Nursing Home, then Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mt Sterling for over 35 years

She always enjoyed quilting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. For she cherished every call from her grand children asking for recipes or just everyday life advice

Her years of wisdom will be missed; recipes may never taste the same but will always be remembered as having come from Mom or Grandma

Survivors include four children:

Bob Klingle, wife Trish, of Brooklyn, Ill
Donna Bullard, husband Gordon, of Mt Sterling

Three step children:

Roger Herren, wife Shirley, of Congerville, Ill

One sister, Betty Gabriel of Galesburg, Ill

Also 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several step grand children, step great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and her many friends survive

She was preceded in death by her parents, one stepson, Larry Herren and two brothers: Jim and Bob Perry
