Born October 14, 1945, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Paul Leon and Geraldine Lauretta Bond Baker.
His first wife, Audrey Sensenbaugh Baker, died in 1991.
He was employed by Hoffman Automotive in Hagerstown.
He was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church near Boonsboro.
He also was a member of the Raven's Roost, Eagles Club and Elks Club, all in Hagerstown and the Improved Order of Redmen in Williamsport.
He is survived by his second wife, Evelyn Louise Poffinberger Baker, whom he married December 20, 1992; three daughters, Deborah McElhaney, McConnellsburg, Pa., Marion E. Stotler, Martinsburg and Michelle Feltner, Berkeley Springs; one sister, Nancy Ebersole, Boonsboro, Md.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gale E. Baker and Joe L. Baker.
Services will be Thursday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, Boonsboro. The Rev. Gene Renner will officiate. Burial will be in Benevola United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today, Wednesday, April 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
