New London, NH - David E. Davidson, 68, of Pleasant Street, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the New London Hospital. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on March 28, 1939 the son of Earl and Flora Mae (Hammett) Davidson. He lived in Redlands, CA before moving to New London in 1991. Mr. Davidson worked for Sparklets Water and had also been a Loan Officer for Security Pacific Bank both in CA. He was a private investigator in CA and in NH retiring 12 years ago. Mr. Davidson served in the US Air Force. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in New London and was a Toastmaster. He played baseball and loved sports. Mr. Davidson did a great deal of work searching for missing children.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Cathy Golden of West Valley, UT. He is survived by six children, Jill Davidson of West Valley, UT, Diane Ramsey of Brea, CA, Donna Pourby of Wilder, VT, Christopher Davidson of Lebanon, NH, Daniel Davidson of Grantham, NH, and Carolyn Marie Davidson of Grantham, NH; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Stanphill of Newbury, NH; a niece and a nephew.
Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Sunday, May 13, 2007 from 4:00-5:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Lady of Fatima, 724 Main Street, New London, NH with The Rev. Robert Biron, celebrant. Burial will be in Grantham Memorial Cemetery, Grantham, NH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lake Sunapee Region Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. Box 2209 or to Kearsarge Area Council on Aging, P.O Box 1263, both New London, NH 03257.
