Verlie Stanley Holley, 86, of 209 Greyson St., Martinsville, died Friday, March 15, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
She was born in Franklin County on Oct. 7, 1915, to Henry W. Stanley and Fanny Elizabeth Stanley, both deceased. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Holley, and five brothers, Herman, Earl, Kyle, Uriel and Bugord Stanley
Holley was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Grady Holley of the home. They were married March 29, 1941. Also surviving are one daughter, Gloria J. Bryan of Baltimore, Md.; one son, Curtis E. Holley of Alaska; one grandson; and one brother, Elton Stanley of Franklin County.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at McCabe Memorial Baptist church, with the Rev. Lewis Harris and Dr. Philip Duckett officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Norris Funeral Services chapel and at other times at the home.
