MECHLER RITES HELD MONDAY
Former Johnson County Resident Succumbs In Davenport
OXFORD - Funeral services for Mrs. William Mechler were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Davenport Monday morning. Burial was made in Mt. Calvary cemetery at Oxford with Rev. T. V. Lawlor in charge of the services. Catherine Mechler, nee Harold, was born August 9, 1868, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Harold, and died at her home in Davenport after many weeks of illness, Friday, June 9th at the age of 64 years and 10 months. She lived the greater part of her life in Johnson county. She was united in marriage to William Mechler in 1893 and lived in this vicinity until five years ago, 1928, they moved to Davenport where they resided until her death. Surviving are the husband, one son, Eugene, of Grove City, Pennsylvania, two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Becker of Davenport and Mrs. Alvenia Harshberger of Shenandoah, one sister, Mrs. William Harney, Sr., of Oxford, two brothers, Sam and David of Cleveland, North Dakota. Six grandchildren also mourn her loss.
