On June 20, 1970 LCpl Tsosie was wounded and treated he returned to duty.
A four man OP (Out Post) close to a Pagoda near the An Loc village complex in Que Son District was attacked and overrun by an enemy force. Using hand grenades and automatic weapons they killed three Marines and wounded one man who managed to survive the deadly attack. A reaction force quickly responded but the enemy had already fled taking a PRC-25 radio and an M-16 rifle.
LCPL Tsosie was one of the casualties; he was killed in action as a result of enemy gunshot wounds.
