Mr. Jim Farris Bartholomew 92, of Clarksburg, TN, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Bro. Mark Simons will officiate the service. The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Mr. Bartholomew was born September 13, 1922 to the late James Lee and Lillie (White) Bartholomew in Decatur County. He was a member of the Roans Creek Church of Christ. Mr. Bartholomew was a retiree of the Milan Army Ammunition Plant and a World War II Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Chincoteague. He was awarded a purple heart for combat duty. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Melba Jean Bartholomew, five sisters, Unnie Dabbs, Opal Wall, Alma Lee Halters, Irene James, and Imogene Blackwell seven brothers, Aaron, Oakley, Woodrow, Coy, Faye, Paul, and Mack. He is survived by four sons, Teddy (wife Teresa), Dale (wife Angela), and Neal all of Clarksburg, and Russell (wife Jane) of Simpsonville, South Carolina. He also leaves three grandchildren, Tiffany, Cyndel, and Heath; and two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Evangeline.
