Mrs. Mary Ellen Gertrude Brady, 64, widow of Jacob F Brady, died at her home, 148 West High Street, at 10:15 this morning of complications, following an illness of six months. Her condition became critical last Wednesday.
Mrs. Brady was born in Cambria county, a daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. James McCall, and spent
40 years in Adams county. She was twice married, her first husband having been William Berkey. Her second husband died November 9, 1916.
By her first marriage, Mrs. Brady is survived by one son; Joseph I Berkey, Lemoyne, and one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Arnold, Enola, and by the second marriage, Mrs. Brady is survived by two daughters,
Mrs. James McKenrick, Fayetteville, and Mrs. Curtis Cullison, Hanover, and five sons, Paul E Brady, Marion, Ohio; Clement J Brady, Lemoyne; Eugene A Brady, at home; Lewis D Brady, Gettysburg, and John W Brady, at home.
Mrs. Brady was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church.
Funeral services Thursday morning, meeting at the Bender funeral home, Carlisle Street, at 8:30, with requiem high mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church at 9:00, the Rev. Father Mark E Stock officiating. Interment in the cemetery at St. Ignatius Catholic church, Buchanan Valley.
