He was originally from Buchanan Valley, Pennsylvania.
LOUIS BRADY DIES FRIDAY AT WORK IN MD.
Louis David Brady, 60, Gettysburg R. 5, died suddenly when he was stricken early Friday afternoon while working at the Lehigh Portland Cement plant at Union Bridge, Md.
The Carroll County medical examiner's office in Westminster listed the cause of death as a coronary thrombosis.
He was employed there by McDermitt's Inc., as general foreman in charge of portable plants on the large projects. A veteran of World War II, he served as a private in the United States Army as a gun crewman on light artillery.
He was a member of the local Albert J. Lentz American Legion Post 202.
A native of Adams County, he was the son of the late Jacob F. and Mary E. (McCall) Brady.
Surviving are his wife, Edna R. (Hinkle) Brady; a daughter, Mrs. Connie Custer, at home; three brothers and sisters, Paul Brady, Mansfield, Ohio; Clement J. Brady, Mantua, N.J.; and Mrs. Frances Cullison, Baltimore, Md.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning with a meeting at the Peters Funeral Home, Carlisle Street, at 9:15 o'clock, followed by a requiem Mass at 10 at St. Francis Xavier Church with the Rev. Alphonse T. Marcincavage celebrant.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock with the Rosary being recited at 8 o'clock.
