Sara Barbara Mast, 72, of Route 1, Salisbury, died Friday, July 1, 1994 at Memorial Hospital.
Born May 8, 1922 in Somerset County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Miller) Eichorn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mast, on March 10, 1987; a son, Ernest James Mast, and a grand-daughter, Christina Durst. She is survived by two sons: Glenn Mast, Grantsville, and Daniel Mast, Springs, Pa.; two daughters: Vera Esther Merson, Hartley, Del., and Maryanna Durst, Grantsville; one brother, Alvin Eichorn, Grantsville; five half brothers: Clarence Scheffel, McVeytown, Pa.; Jonas and Paul Scheffel, both of Somerset; David Scheffel, Quarryville, Pa.; John Scheffel, Frederick; one sister, Vera Beitzel, Salisbury; one half sister, Catherine King, Cochranville, Pa. and eight grandchildren. She was a member of Springs Mennonite Church and was the retired co-owner of Mast Furniture Store, Grantsville. She also volunteered much of her time at World's Attic, Somerset.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, July 3. Services were conducted at the Springs Mennonite Church on July 4, with Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Interment, Springs Cemetery.
