Greetings, the marriage on Fern and Emmett J. Wood September 29 1936 in Webster County, Mo I haven't found one for Henry Bert Stevens yet, he was born in Madison County, Mo as far as I know. Fern was from Springfield area she had a pair of twin girls by Bert Stevens, Patsy Sue and Peggy Lou born in North Dakota or Iowa in 1928 depends on which census you look at, they are in Springfield in 1940 and North Dakota in 1930. Suggested edit: Mrs. Fern L. Wood, 29, of 2102 South Delaware, died at 6 p.m. Friday at her home following a short illness. A resident of Springfield the past 40 years, she was a member of the Republic Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bill Long, 2005 South Cedarbrook, and Mrs. Jack Fredrick, 2751 South Glendale; six brothers, Guy Pickering, 1703 South National, John Pickering, 1100 West Linwood, Lloyd Pickering, 2417 North National, Raymond Pickering, Salem, Paul Pickering, Kansas City, and Moe Pickering, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Gamel, 941 North Rogers, and Mrs. Helen Whisler, 625 East Pacific, and six grandchildren.
