Cordonna Marie Cunningham, 88, of Memphis, Mo., died November 8, 1994 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Mo. Cordonna, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Florence White Dorsey, was born in Lewis County, Mo., on March 13, 1906.

On August 25, 1926 she married Earl Dean Cunningham at the Gorin, Mo. home of her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Rollie E. Dorsey. They resided on the Cunningham family farm near Rutledge, Mo., all of their married life. Two sons were born to this union: Joseph Stanley and Darrell Dean Cunningham.

In May 1958 Cordonna moved from her farm to Memphis, Mo., where she resided until she was admitted to the Scotland County Care Center on April 28, 1985.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; seven brothers: Raymond, Leland, Robert, Rollie, Merton, Orville and Ira Dorsey; one sister: Ruby Pearl Dorsey and nieces and nephews. Survivors include her two sons: Stanley and his wife Evelyn, of Kansas City, Mo., and Dean and his wife Bonnie, of Nathrop, Colo.; five grandchildren: Terri Lynn, Phillip Eugene and Christopher Cole Cunningham, all of Kansas City, Mo., and Robert Cunningham and Gerin (Cunningham) Stieger, of Colorado; six great-grandchildren: Danielle, Candace, Evan, and Kelley Cunningham, Chelsey and Gavin Stieger; a sister: Carmelita Laverty of Memphis, Mo., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rutledge Chapter #343, Rutledge, Mo.

Services by the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #343 Rutledge, were held November 11, 1994. Funeral services were held November 12, 1994 at the New Testament Church, Rutledge, Mo., with Reverend Ernest Deatrick, officiating. The soloist was Angela Westhoff, and the pianist was Madeline Ewing. Pallbearers were Cletus Berthold, Lee Chancellor, Floyd Walker, Hillis McCabe, Francis Parrish, and John Matlock. Interment was in the Pauline Cemetery, Rutledge, Mo. Arrangements were handled by the Payne Funeral Service in their Memphis, Mo. Chapter.
